GITE LA MERIENNERIE – Terms and Conditions of Booking

Welcome to Gite La Meriennerie (the “Property"), which is operated by SCEA Haras de la Losquette. By making a reservation through this website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Booking and Contract Formation
A booking is confirmed when you complete the online reservation process; the required deposit or full payment has been received; and a booking confirmation email has been issued. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all members of the party.
2. Property Description
We make every effort to ensure that descriptions, photographs, and information displayed on our website are accurate. Minor variations may occur and shall not constitute grounds for cancellation or compensation.
3. Rental Period
There is a minimum rental period of 2 nights. The booking is valid only for the dates specified in the confirmation email. Check in times are flexible, as agreed in the confirmation email. Check out is by 11am. Early arrivals and late departures are subject to prior approval.
4. Maximum Occupancy
The maximum number of guests permitted is 6 persons. Only guests included in the reservation may occupy the Property. Additional guests require prior written approval.
5. Prices and Payment
All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include VAT. Unless otherwise stated, a deposit of 20% is payable at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 14 days before arrival. Non-payment by the due date will result in cancellation of the booking and retention of the deposit.
6. Tourist Tax (Taxe de Séjour)
Where applicable, tourist tax is payable in accordance with local regulations and may be charged separately from the rental price.
7. Cancellation by you
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to jodie@losquette.com.
Refunds are as follows:
More than 60 days before arrival: full refund
Between 15 and 60 days before arrival: 20% deposit to be retained.
Less than 14 days before arrival: no refund.
We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance covering cancellation.
8. Cancellation by the Owner
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a reservation due to circumstances beyond our control, all payments received will be refunded in full. Our liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the reservation.
9. House Rules
Guests agree to:
Keep under 16s under adult supervision at all times;
Respect neighbours and local residents;
Avoid excessive noise;
Not smoke inside the property;
Leave the property in a reasonably clean condition;
Comply with all instructions provided.
Parties, events, and commercial activities are prohibited unless expressly agreed in writing.
10. Pets
Pets Not Allowed: Pets are not permitted on the Property.
11. Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage caused during their stay.
The Owner shall not be liable for:
Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings;
Injury resulting from misuse of the Property or facilities; or
Service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.
12. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for cancellation, delay, or inability to provide accommodation due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, utility failures, pandemics, or other force majeure events.
13. Privacy
Personal information collected through this website is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of France. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
